Privacy policy

We collect the information you provide when you contact BNS — name, business email, employer, country and the content of your enquiry. We may also receive data from your employer or an intermediary acting on your behalf during a procurement process.

Our website collects standard server-side logs, anonymous usage telemetry and cookies strictly necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising cookies.

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to manage the commercial relationship with your organisation, and to operate the BNS website. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Where you engage BNS under a contract, your information may be processed as part of the engagement — including governance reporting, invoicing and regulatory obligations.

We rely on legitimate interest to respond to enquiries and to operate the website, and on contractual necessity when engaged under a signed agreement. Where required, we rely on your explicit consent — for example, to send you occasional BNS field notes.

Enquiry records are retained for up to 36 months after last contact. Engagement records are retained for the period required by applicable law, regulatory obligations and our own quality management system (typically 7 years).

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact privacy@bns.example to exercise any of these rights.

BNS operates globally. Where personal data is transferred outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses and — for the UK — the UK IDTA, together with supplementary organisational and technical measures.

Information security is managed through an ISO/IEC 27001-aligned management system, with SOC 2 Type II controls on our operational estate. Incidents are reported promptly to affected parties and regulators where required.
